History and Profile

Délifrance Asia Ltd established its presence in Singapore in 1983, initially focusing on manufacturing of bakery products for wholesale customers. The first Délifrance Café at Clifford Centre was opened in 1985. It has since grown into a network of over 230 stores in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Shanghai (China), Sri Lanka, Brunei and East Malaysia.

Délifrance currently operates 3 retail concepts, namely, Bistro Délifrance, Délifrance Café and Délifrance Express Corner. Bistro Délifrance is the only French all-day casual dining chain in Asia, offering authentic and wholesome French breads, pastries, delicious hot meals and quality desserts. Délifrance outlets offer a comprehensive menu of wholesome cuisine to whet your appetite. Délifrance’s team of experienced chefs and master bakers are committed to continuously expand the range of new and delicious items in response to the ever-changing consumers' taste and expectations for good value gourmet meals.

Délifrance made its debut in Singapore by setting up wholesale and manufacturing business and selling to hotels, clubs, supermarkets and airlines

1985

First Café Bakery opened in Singapore (Clifford Centre)

1986

First Bake-Off opened in Singapore (Chancery Court)

1987

Operations started in Hong Kong and China (Shanghai)

1989

Started operations in Australia. First Le Bistrot opened in Singapore
(Robinson Towers)

1990

Operations in Malaysia initiated

1992

First Café Bakery with a Patisserie Corner opened in Singapore
(Jelita Shopping Centre)

1995

Operations in Philippines initiated

Awarded BHQ (Business Headquarters) status and set up its Regional HQ (Headquarters) in Singapore

Franchise operations started in Brunei

Délifrance Singapore received the HACCP accreditation for its Factory
(production of frozen dough for Bread, Puff Pastries and Viennoiseries)

Délifrance Singapore received the HACCP accreditation for its Central Kitchen
(production of Chilled Ready to Eat & Cooked Frozen Pasteurised Food Products)

First Bistro Délifrance opened in Indonesia (Jakarta)

Délifrance Asia Ltd signs territorial licence agreement for Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei

First Bistro Délifrance opened in Sabah (Kota Kinabalu)

First in Asia to receive Sous Vide process Certification by BVQI, using the HACCP system.
